Alumni and Parents Gather for Summer Receptions
Though school was out of session, there was still a fair bit of summer activity for the Alumni & Development Office. Five receptions, spanning both coasts, brought together alumni and parents to enjoy some Middlesex camaraderie.
On July 17th, John Stevens ’86 and his wife Ing-Nan hosted a gathering for San Francisco area alumni and parents at the Corinthian Yacht Club in Tiburon. Among the guests in attendance was Amory Rosse '02 who, as the film maker for Oracle Team USA, has had some unique views of the San Francisco Bay as the team prepares and competes for the 34th World Cup.
Back on the east coast, the Middlesex Alumni Association sponsored a mid-week young alumni party at Tia’s in Boston followed the next week by a gathering at parents (P'11 '13) Dave and Wendy Eck's restaurant, The Dog Watch Cafe in Stonington, CT. The fun then headed to the islands on August 1 and August 14, at receptions on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, respectively. The Nantucket event was hosted by Peter Gardner ’85 and his wife Gina and the Martha’s Vineyard event was hosted by Ben and Janet Howe P’14.
We greatly appreciate the generosity of all of our hosts and enjoyed seeing the nearly one hundred and fifty guests that joined us to enjoy a little summer fun!
