The Middlesex curriculum offers a great deal of breadth and challenge, but if one of our 140 courses doesn't fulfill your interests, you can undertake an Independent Study Project (ISP).  An ISP is a student's opportunity to pursue a specific interest or passion one-on-one with a faculty member.  The student and faculty member work together to design the curriculum, materials, assessments, and learning objectives.  Recent ISPs have included:

Comparative Government
Heroic Literature
Comtemporary Spanish Cinema
The Traitor Within:  Spy Literature
Linear Algebra
Literature of the Beat Generation
Diversity and Social Justice
Literature of the New Testament
National Media on Politics
Hispanic and Latino Culture
Advanced Topics in Computer Science
Short Story: A Critical Analysis
Literature of Charles Perrault
