Twenty Middlesex students and faculty are making art to be exhibited in the exhibition Personal Terrain: Contemporary Mapping, opening April 16th at the Concord Art Association. According to Concord Art, "Maps are more accessible and sophisticated today than ever before, and continue to raise questions about scale, perspective, purpose and power." In a collaboration between Middlesex, Concord Academy, and Concord-Carlisle High School, students will ‘map’ a piece of Concord on an 18"x18" birch panel. The panels will be combined to create a large collaborative map of Concord.
Middlesex students recently spent an evening at the Concord Art Association to meet with the curator and director to get a 'behind the scenes' perspective of the work that goes into curating a show.
The exhibit's opening reception is Thursday, April 17th, from 5-7pm at the Concord Art Association.
