Wally Pierce '10 Named 2013 IWLCA Third Team All-American at Bates

On Wednesday, May 8 it was announced that Wally Pierce ’10 was named an Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse of America (IWLCA) Third Team All-American as a member of the Bates women’s lacrosse team.  A junior midfielder, the Weston, MA native is one of 47  Division III players to receive such a distinction. For her outstanding contributions this spring, Pierce was also named IWLCA First Team All-Regional as well as Second Team All-Conference.
 
Over the course of her career, Pierce has garnered a reputation as being one of “the finest two-way midfielders in the conference, as well as Division III women’s lacrosse.” She finished her junior campaign leading Bates in most statistical categories with 26 goals, 50 draw controls, 40 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers.
 
The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans on May, 25 at the All-American banquet held at the Radison Hotel in King of Prussia, PA.
