Stephanie Cabot '07 is taking her interest in athletics and wellness to a new level with the opening of a cycling studio in Maine this week! After playing field hockey, lacrosse, and captaining the squash team at Middlesex, Steph went on to Bates College, where she was the first Bates woman to be named All-NESCAC in women’s squash.

She decided to start Rêve Cycling Studio because her current city of Portland, Maine needed a dedicated indoor cycling and yoga fusion studio. "I wanted to create a studio environment that was dedicated to the well-being of each person who walks through our door," Steph says. "Designing a wonderful light-filled space and offering an exhilarating, cardiovascular workout for body and mind has always been a dream of mine."

Working with her contractor, another Bates graduate, Stephanie fulfilled her dream of a studio with an inspiring environment. Today, May 22nd, marks their grand opening. She is looking forward to creating a "Rêve community" in Portland and the surrounding towns. Rêve's concept combines cycling and yoga, offering a 45 minute cycle class followed by a 30 minute yoga session. The studio promises classes for every level, and they look forward to seeing many new members in the coming weeks!
